Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back 🎥

The movie is really shallow with little to no character development. It is way too long because most of it is hectic fighting scenes or preparations for fighting, and quite frankly I couldn’t give less of a fuck. There is still like only one woman which is insane to me, and the acting in general is pretty mid to actually bad.

There are no side characters you can grow attached to because importance is only attached to the three main characters who you just know won’t ever be killed because they carry the already shallow story. Those who die are unimportant and barely had any screen time anyway.

And don’t even get me started on the conflict and developing love affair between the Princess and that mercenary. The story is just so shallow! It’s just rebels fighting against an empire but there is no depth to the conflict beyond the fact that the father is fighting his son.

They employ every suspense element in the book which is not bad by itself. However, it’s all very predictable. Luke’s crying when he finds out his father is Darth Vader looked fake as fuck, and his struggling in general didn’t look well thought out except for keeping a very inattentive audience on their toes. And then the mental calling when he’s about to fall off so the princess comes back to save him? Please, don’t be this cheesy.

Throughout this entire chase – in this as well as the last one – the princess' makeup looked impeccable. How? Face, hair, and fit were stunning in spite of everything, while everyone else looked more affected than her even though she did just as much. I guess, a woman has to look 10/10 all the time, even as a rebel?

Part two included less fight scenes than the first, but still too many. There was a little character development and a bit more dialogue of value than the first, but not enough. It’s just so shallow!
